Serge LeClerc appointed as head of International Advisory Council
Jehoshua House LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Serge LeClerc as the new Chairman of their International Advisory Council. Mr. LeClerc has most recently served as a member of the Legislative Assembly in Saskatchewan Canada where among his many duties he was Secretary to the Minister of Corrections. Serge has served as the founder and director of Teen Challenge Saskatchewan and built a large facility in that remote area of Canada. His educational background in addictions counseling, social work and psychoanalysis along with his years of practical application make him uniquely suited to help lead us in our expanded pursuits.
Serge was not the most likely to have attained any of the accomplishments that he has directed. Serge began his life as the product of rape to a 14 year old single mother who gave birth to him in an abandon building. He lived in the projects of Toronto where crime was rampant and at the age of 8 Serge was sent to his first of many reform schools. Thus began his life of crime that led him to being one of Canada’s most wanted and a leader of organized crime. His dramatic story of redemption after 21 years of incarceration has made him a sought after speaker and his book “Untwisted” is a Canadian best seller.
As a national speaker for Crime Stoppers International, Prison Fellowship International and numerous other organizations Serge has brought his story of hope to hundreds of thousands of men and women across Canada and the United States.
Jehoshua House is excited to have the presence of such a distinguished man of his stature to lead our International advisory board as we grow our vision and ministry to a brighter future for those who have been incarcerated and now look for a way out of that revolving door of recidivism.
